The Ultimate Girls’ Trip: Your Own Private Island

Book the whole island home for up to 9 friends on Bedarra Island in the Great Barrier Reef. Reef swims, long lunches and sunset drinks, with no one else around.

Why a private island

Better Than a Resort for Your Group

Skip the crowded pool deck and plan the girls trip Queensland friends talk about for years. At The Pavilions of Bedarra your group has exclusive use of the property, with no other guests and no shared spaces, so you set the pace, from morning swims to late-night catch-ups.

01

Together, with your own space

Spread out across the Master Suite & Eagles Nest (up to 5) and the Owner’s Pavilion (up to 4), so everyone has room to unwind.

02

Long lunches & sunset drinks

A chef’s kitchen, Weber BBQ and an outdoor deck with sea views, plus a fire pit for evenings under the stars.

03

Reef, rainforest & relaxation

Snorkel off the beach, take the kayaks out, explore the rainforest trails, or claim a daybed and do absolutely nothing.

Up to 9 guests

Minimum 3-night stay. See nightly rates.

Celebrations

Milestone Birthdays, Hens Weekends and Reunions

Turning 40, 50 or 60? Planning a hens weekend or a long-overdue reunion with old friends? A private island makes it feel truly special, with Dunk Island and the Coral Sea as your backdrop.

Your transfer can collect groceries and drinks from Woolworths and BWS on the way, so the fridge is stocked and the celebrations can start the moment you step off the boat.

Things to do together

Island Days With Your Favourite People

Snorkel straight off the beach, paddle out in the kayaks, try your luck fishing, wander the rainforest trails and look out for turtles, dugongs and, from June to August, humpback whales. Snorkel, kayak and fishing gear is included.

Easy to organise

Great value when you share

Rates start from $550 per night for two, plus $50 per extra person per night, so the more friends you bring, the better the value per person.

FAQs

Girls Trip Queensland FAQs

The questions groups of friends ask most before booking.

How many friends can stay?

Up to 9 guests: up to 5 in the Master Suite & Eagles Nest and up to 4 in the Owner’s Pavilion.

How much does a girls’ trip cost per person?

As an example, 9 guests staying 5 nights is about $4,750 in total for accommodation, or roughly $530 per person, before boat transfers. See full rates.

How do we get to Bedarra Island?

Fly into Cairns, enjoy a scenic two-hour drive to Mission Beach, then take a short boat transfer from Clump Point Marina. Transfers are tide dependent, so call us before you book and our concierge will help arrange them. See Getting to Bedarra Island.

Do we need to bring food and drinks?

The Pavilions are self-catering, with a full chef’s kitchen and Weber BBQ. Your transfer can collect groceries and drinks from Woolworths and BWS before you arrive, so you don’t have to carry everything across.

When is the best time for a girls’ trip?

September to November brings clear water and 20–30°C days. June to August is peak season, with whale watching. Stingers are generally present from November to May.
